Thomas "Tom" Feargal Tucker is a character in the animated television series Family Guy. He is an arrogant, baritone newscaster at Channel 5. His family includes Stacy, his second wife, and a son named Jake from his first marriage; Tom was briefly Thelma Griffin’s boyfriend who acted like a true father figure to Peter in “Mother Tucker.” In the unaired Pilot of the show, he was named Mike.

In one episode, he yells "I love Carly Lowe", after being dumped by former girlfriend Emily McNair.

Meg briefly had a crush on him in “The Kiss Seen Around the World,” though her feelings for him dissipate as soon as she realizes just how inconsiderate he can be to anything but his news ratings.

It is believed that Tucker is inspired by former Los Angeles news anchor John Beard.

[edit] Jake Tucker

Tom's son, Jake, has a face which is upside-down and he is very self-conscious. Due to this fact, Tom tries to make him feel as normal as possible and spoils him very much. (For example, when rejected by the judges of "Kids say the Darndest Things" audition, Tom decides to make up "their own show" although Jake does not want to).

In the episode Boys Do Cry, it is shown that he sees upside down. Jake auditions for the church organist by playing the William Tell Overture. He plays random notes in absolute discord until Tom flips the sheet.

Jake was framed by Stewie and Brian for drug possession out of revenge for giving Chris vodka and denying it afterwards and sentenced to 200 hours of community service.

In the episode It Takes a Village Idiot, and I Married One, Jake's face is flipped right-side-up due to exposure to toxic waste, though he found himself horrified by his altered appearance rather than relieved. However, in Blue Harvest, when Jake made a cameo, his face was upside down again. This suggests that, although the story was obviously non-canon, Jake's face is back to "normal" as well.
