In 2003, Crain's New York Business selected Poleman as one of their "Forty under 40" rising stars in business,[4] and in 2005, Billboard Radio Monitor featured him as #1 in "Top 40's Top 40".[3]
Tom Poleman is credited with bringing Z100 from #18 in the market to the top five,[1], doubling its ratings in two years,[4] and making it the most listened-to top-40 station in the United States.[3] He also brought all five New York City Clear Channel stations into the top 15.[1]
Poleman was honored by the music industry AIDS charity LIFEbeat in June 2004 for his commitment to the organization, including a running a public service campaign with celebrity artists promoting HIV prevention.[2][3]
Poleman is also Clear Channel's nationwide top 40 format brand manager and liaison for the company's 125 pop stations.[3]
