Thomas Carter, III (born September 5, 1972 in St. Petersburg, Florida) is a former American football cornerback who played in the National Football League from 1993-2001. He played for the Washington Redskins, Chicago Bears, and Cincinnati Bengals. Carter played quarterback at Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida and accepted a scholarship to play college football at the University of Notre Dame where he was a three year starter at the free safety position.
