Tomáš Plíhal (born March 28, 1983 in Frýdlant v Čechách, Czechoslovakia) is a professional ice hockey left wing who currently plays for the San Jose Sharks organization of the NHL. He was drafted in the 5th round, 140th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He was called up from the Worcester Sharks, San Jose's top minor affiliate, on January 25, 2007 and made his debut on the 26th against the Edmonton Oilers.
On March 3, 2008, Plíhal scored his first career assist against the Montreal Canadiens. On March 9, 2008, Plíhal scored on his first career penalty shot on Niklas Backstrom of the Minnesota Wild.
