[edit] Knockbeg

He was in fact born in Knockbeg, County Laois. The house he was born in was occupied by his family on the basis that they worked for Knockbeg College (also in Laois). The confusion in the article arises from the fact that in postal terms Knockbeg is addressed as "Carlow" but this is referring to its proximity to the town of Carlow and not its location in the county. Also, he resided in his adult life in Graiguecullen, Co. Laois.
