The Toledo Thunder was a professional minor-league team which competed in the Mid Continental Football League of the American Football Association from 1993 until 1995. The Toledo Thunder won the MCFL title in 1994 and is considered by many to be the best AFA team in recent history. Coached by Larry Hamilton, the team was forced to fold due to lack of funding and support from the community. Though short-lived, the Toledo Thunder still holds many MCFL records.
