Tim Harries

Tim Harries (born 1959) is a British bass player. He was a member of Steeleye Span between 1989 and 2001.
Tim Harries graduated from the University of York in 1981. He studied double bass with Tom Martin at the Guildhall School of Music before becoming a freelance double-bass player, branching out to include various styles of music. He is now best known as a session musician playing acoustic and electric bass. He has worked with Brian Eno, David Holmes among others, also with Alan Moore on the audio CD version of Moore's comic book novel "Angel Passage" (2001). He can be heard on the soundtrack of the films "Heart" (Charles McDougall (1999), "Quills" (2000) and "On A Clear Day" (2005). He can also be heard on the soundtrack of the ITV series "Watership Down" (2000 Mike Batt version).
