[edit] Naming format

Can contributors to this article please check out and comment on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Time_zone#Time_zone_article_naming_format regarding article names? -- Chuq 04:44, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Other countries on NZST

As other countries than NZ use UTC+12 (Marshall Islands, etc.), could we at least use a different page to collect them? samwaltz 08:45, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

like UTC+12 perhaps? - SimonLyall 09:41, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
  • cough* *blush* *cough*

Ummm... then should we redirect NZST to UTC+12? samwaltz 10:02, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

I don't think so. This article mentions what act defines NZST, a detail that would be out of place on UTC+12. And we link fairly prominently to UTC+12, in case anyone wants to go there. -- Avenue 10:44, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Current time

This is wrong. Its near midnight on the 4th Nov and the page suggested it was afternoon on the 3rd. Someone needs to see if it can be fixed, otherwise link to some world time date website... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.97.170.20 (talk) 09:58, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Users who are logged in to Wikipedia get the correct time, but anon users get a cached copy, which was about an hour out of date when I tried it just now. Anon users must hit the "purge" link to get an up to date version of the page. I agree this is unsatisfactory. Other "Time in ..." articles do not attempt to give the current time; any objections if I remove the current time from this article?-gadfium 19:22, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
