Thanks for the welcome. This is actually my second user account, but since I can't remember the first one (which is NOT User:Shran), I guess it really doesn't matter. Thanks again, though. :) --ThylekShran 17:14, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Protesting questionable adminship

The following occured after I had removed the welcome tag from my talk page in protest of the incident that occured at User talk:bp0, in which bp0 was temporarilly blocked and his talk page protected for repeatedly removing his welcome tag. Since then, the issue has been resolved – bp0 was swiftly unblocked and his talk page unprotected, and to prevent being continously hounded for doing nothing wrong or against policy, I have re-added the welcome tag above.

This page was blanked my me, ThylekShran, to protest the mistreatment of bp0. --From Andoria with Love 06:20, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey thanks for the support! --Bp0 07:08, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk page guidelines

Please don't remove other users' comments, per WP:TPG. Thanks. --Madchester 07:49, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Please don't disrupt Wikipedia to prove a point, per WP:POINT. If you wish to remove your welcome message, please contact the editor who placed it on your talk page. Thanks. --Madchester 09:12, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Why would I need to do that, I already replied back to him/her when I first received it three months ago. --From Andoria with Love 09:21, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
If you wish to remove another editor's comments from your talk page, make sure you have permission from that editor before doing so. See WP:TPG and Wikipedia:Wikiquette. Even though I've been here for a year and a half, I would still contact the original editor who placed my welcome tag, if I wished to remove it. --Madchester 09:23, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Very well. Since the issue with bp0 has been settled, there is nothing more to gain from having it removed, so I have re-added the welcome tag. --From Andoria with Love 09:37, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Wow... I just realized how hypocritical that was of you to tell me that policy regarding disruption to prove a point, given the major disruption you caused on bp's talk page to prove a point that didn't need to be proven... oh, well. Too late for any sarcastic remarks about it now... --From Andoria with Love 05:19, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Status of Disney inquiries

Hi Shran, I saw on the Talk:List_of_DuckTales_episodes page that you contacted Disney about episode numbering and air dates a few months ago... did you ever receive a reply? DuckTales is high on my to-do list over at IMDb, thus any information which helps make some more sense of the contradicting listings would be greatly appreciated! | 128.12.132.170 08:11, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi there. Sorry for the late reply. I have contacted Disney but never did receive a reply and I don't expect that I will. Updating the DuckTales episodes at IMDb is on my priority list, as well; I've already updated the credits for the first eight episodes (up through "Hotel Strangeduck"), but it's going slow due to IMDb's peculiarities. They will update the pages, but might leave out a few things the require more updating, etc. I've been using the airdates supplied by the guy over at TV.com who swears to me that those are the correct dates. I've verified that five of the episodes I've updated are complete; the others are still pending, after which I will continue onward. So, it's going very slow. Unfortunately, as I said, I have not received a reply; not only that, but I've lost the exact address so I can't send another letter. I've asked Disney.com again for the address, but they're not replying now. I wonder if I hit some kind of nerve... :P anyway, sorry to tell you that. --From Andoria with Love 03:54, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Hit some kind of nerve... lol. I found your tv.com thread and agree that the replies do sound like they know what they're talking about. So we'll just have to go from that, for the time being. IMDb can always be re-updated later on, after all. | 128.12.132.170 18:34, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Indeed it can. :) Actually, I'm wondering if the Disney Company themselves even know for sure about what episodes aired on what date. It's possible (though I wouldn't think likely) that they didn't keep proper records on the show. Or maybe they just don't like to give out that information. Who knows? Hopefully things will be cleared up soon, but for now, going by the dates at TV.com is probably the best thing (for the first season, anyway -- not sure if the other season[s] have been corrected yet). --From Andoria with Love 03:28, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tommy & Rumble

Are you a tommy and Rumble fan? DO you still listen often? -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 18:56, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

I listen to them every morning. I try to, anyway. Yes, I'm a huge fan. :) --From Andoria with Love 18:57, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Me to, i have an hour and a half drive to work each day. I think id go insane without something to listen too. Now that I got a radio souped up in my office, I can listen even more! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:04, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I usually have to make do with about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, after which I have class. But it's better than not listening to 'em at all. Even a little T&R can make my entire morning. If I don't listen for a few days I go through withdrawals, though. ;) --From Andoria with Love 19:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Lol, yea. For a while i couldent get it in my office and it drove me crazy. I eventually stripped some cat 5 cables I found and now have wires drapped all over the place. However, i get 98.7! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:12, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Did you listen the day they told people to create fake articles and vandalize other articles on wikipedia? -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:14, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
I think I remember something about that. Did anything ever come of it? --From Andoria with Love 19:23, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
They vandalized the an article which another admin protected about 5 minutes after the vandalism started. Then, the next day they created a fake article, which got deleted after about 5 minutes. They were trying to mock how wikipedia could be edited by anybody but i think they were suprised when all there mess was cleaned up. I actually called and talked on the radio about how it works. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:26, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
I remember something about them writing or editing a page with fake info. I don't recall any of the specifics though; I can't remember any phone calls explaining things to them, either, sadly. It would have been great to see what they wrote, though. :) --From Andoria with Love 19:32, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

←You my friend are in luck, i am an admin and copied the deleted page so you could read it. User:Chrislk02/tmax is a copy of the article they created as Turk Maxwell. It was pretty funny

LOL!!! Awesome; I love it, especially the "ball in the cup" reference. Thanks for sharing that! :)
Searching for "Turk Maxwell", I found that T&R posted most of their article in their recap section on FM99.com, found here. Check out the Wednesday, Feb 28th entry titled "We are Breaking the Internet!!!" As you can see, they don't appear to agree with Wikipedia's decision. ;) --From Andoria with Love 19:52, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
I am assuming the ball in the cup is a reference to Family Guy. It was much funnier to hear it on the air, reading the csd notice, trying to get it to go away. I was laughing so hard. I also loved the seashore state park reference. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:55, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, someone recorded the ball-in-the-cup commercial from Family Guy and they play it on the air now and then. I seriously wish I had been on Wikipedia and listening to the show at the same time when all this was going on. Definitely would have been a good laugh. :) --From Andoria with Love 20:08, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DC Meetup notice

Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Virginia, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 22:08, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion Debate

Ahh, now I know why I kept away from AfD. :) LoL. Your comments are keeping me from just exploding. Thanks. Zidel333 05:17, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, that discussion is ridiculous. A bunch of rule-spouting but no real reason to delete the article. If all of those discussions are like that, I certainly can't say I blame you for staying away from them. Anyways, there's no need to thank me, but I'll expect my check by Monday. ;) --From Andoria with Love 06:07, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] J.J. Abrams image

Yes I took the photo, and its licensed under the Creative Commons license, so anyone can use it provided I get a photo credit. Palnu 22:07, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Huzzah!! Huzzah!!

  • Smiling* Wonderful isn't? There are some issues of course with that AfD, (more work to perfect policy) but it worked! *does happy dance*. Zidel333 16:45, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: 'allo? 'allo? :P

My apologies, I've been incredibly busy since getting back to campus -- two jobs, 5 classes, 3 clubs. You know the drill. But let's totally hang out sometime this week -- what's good for you? Zidel333 17:11, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I was wondering do you want to hang out around 2:30 today? If yes, post a message on my talk page, or email me at Zidel333ATGmailDOTcom. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zidel333 (talkcontribs) 12:11, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Christmas day filming

point conceded. yet the official UK trailer says 26th of december. If you had researched IMBD properly you would have found this.
