Re: Uma Thurman

Hello, ThinkBlue. You have new messages at Gary King's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} template.
If you want to work on a film biography, then I would also recommend working on a film director's biography, such as Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, or Francis Ford Coppola. I find directors to be much more interesting characters than film actors; also, a lot of great actors have branched into film directing, like Clint Eastwood, so I would consider them. Actors just aren't as interesting to me. Gary King (talk) 18:36, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Goofy question

Hi I noticed you are doing the GA review for Robert F. Kennedy assassination - it is also at Peer Review, so do you think you would be able to make some comments there too? If not I understand, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 00:46, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

  • I can do a PR on it that is mostly MOS and grammar and "this sentence does not make sense" things - I will try to do that in the next several hours. I am not an expert on the subject, so my PR comments won't be much on content. I have not yet read the article, thanks Ruhrfisch ><>°° 00:53, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
    • I just read the article and can make some suggestions. Will do so next, then feel free, thanks Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:30, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
      • Thanks - I put up the {{doing}} template to avoid edit conflicts on PR. I have been very busy with PR lately, but I do GA reviews on occasion - I think I have done 7 to date, mostly Geography and a few on comic books. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:35, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
        • The PR on RFK is done. I am not quite sure what you mean by the question on Mr. Freeze - do you want me to do a GA review on it or to help with a GA review or not sure... I think I can help in almost any case, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:21, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
          • I will be glad to look at it when it gets to peer review - thanks for clarifying and sorry to be so dense before. It may take me several days after it is listed, as I try to help out with otherwise unreviewed articles. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:14, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
            • I think there are twenty-two bullet points in the Other versions section - four in the first and 18 in the second part. It may be there are places where bullet lists are OK, but this seems excessive. I would try to make it regular text. For the alternate versions, perhaps similar ones could be grouped together - if there are three or four Superman Jokers, for example, I would try to combine those in one paragraph, and lump other similar ones together. Does this seem clearer? As always, feel free to ignore my advice, but I think 22 bullets would be a deal breaker at FAC Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:45, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

(unindent) The pertinent section of MOS is Wikipedia:MOS#Bulleted_and_numbered_lists. I recently learned WP:LOCE is not really functional. There are copyediting volunteers at WP:PRV who might be able to help, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

  • I have no idea how long a copy edit will take - LOCE is taking months. I owuld go ahead and ask now Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:10, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
    • Sounds like a plan - good luck and I will watch for Mr. Freeze - feel free to remind me if I forget ;-) Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:55, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
      • I would go with whatever the comics use most - if they spell it out, use "Mister", if they mostly use "Mr.", I would yse that. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 20:52, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

No Joke!!!

Sorry if I caused any harm or inconvenience to you, but the link I added is a genuine link to a genuine album. Once again, I am truly sorry for any inconvenience. Tool-apc (talk) 02:03, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

No Biggie :)

It's okay, you couldn't have known what I was editing about, not many people have heard of the band or the album. Sorry tho. Tool-apc (talk) 02:08, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Re:Question

What, do you mean the edit summary of "Going back?" If so, I don't know, it just seemed like a good filler edit summary. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 03:50, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Byzantine

I think I fixed the Byzantine (band). The only problem is that I always kind of have no idea what to write to the lead section..--  LYKANTROP  12:59, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

It is ready. I think that the lenght of the lead section is adequate to the artcle now (compared with Godsmack).--  LYKANTROP  09:41, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

RE: Hey

Nothing much, just working on PPVs. What have you been doing? –LAX 01:42, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh, well that's cool. Yeah, I am probably going to nominate it on Monday. I currently have five PPVs up at WP:GAN. I know, I know, that's alot. But, they should all pass with no problems. (If only people would review PW articles) ;) Anyway, why are you distancing yourself away from PW articles? –LAX 01:56, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, sure. Why not? But this time, let's work on it in a sandbox. That way, we're not "rushed" to get it done. –LAX 02:07, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
That's not what I was referring to, but yeah, we should finish it. –LAX 02:26, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Commiserations!

weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 16:50, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Actually, cancel that, you've made it through in place of 21655, who withdrew, as you have the highest points total of the knocked out teams. Welcome back! weburiedoursecretsinthegarden 20:28, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
