Thiruda Thiruda (Thief Thief) (1993) is a film comedy, in Tamil, directed by the acclaimed film maker Mani Ratnam, and scripted by Ram Gopal Varma, yet another iconic Indian film maker. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by A. R. Rahman.

Fresh printed bank notes to the value of incredible Rs.1000 crores was robbed in India from a train by the henchman of a gangster named Vikram (Salim Ghouse) living in London. Meanwhile, the Finance Minister of India assigned Lakshmi Narayanan (S.P. Balasubrahmanyam) who is a CBI officer to investigate about the loss of the stolen money. The code card only being able to open the container with the money, comes into the possession of the beautiful Chandralekha (Anu Agarwal). On the way to Vikram she comes across the two thieves Kadhir (Anand) and Azhagu (Prashanth) who are on the run from the police, having in a village girl named Rasathi (Heera Rajgopal) whom they kept from commiting suicide, and ran away from her ruthless uncle. After some attempts of cheating each other Chandralekha is making friends with the thieves. When she discovers that Vikram is stopping at nothing-especially not at dead bodies - on his hunt after the loot, and while the CBI officers are so close on finding the money. She informs the three others about the real value of the code card. Ultimately, their success depends on trust, friendship, and love.

- This film is reputed to be one of the first Indian movies to have used cinematographic devices such as Akela Cranes. P.C. Sriram provided the cinematography for this film.
- The film bombed at the box-office, as the critics were expecting a serious plot from Ratnam himself.
- Music released in Hindi as "Chor Chor".
- Ram Gopal Verma gave this story to Mani Ratnam and in turn Mani Ratnam gave the story for Ghayam, yet another blockbuster, for Ram Gopal Verma to direct.
- This film was dubbed and released in Telugu as "Donga Donga"
