[edit] Image Tagging Image:Mario.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Mario.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Sherool (talk) 21:42, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Penultimate?

On the Mario Kart page, I noticed that you changed "next to last" back to "penultimate." I seriously doubt that a lot of people would know what penultimate means; I myself had to look it up to find out what it meant. I think it would just be a lot easier to say "next to last" instead of the fancier term. What do you think? Hbdragon88 20:39, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

To me, "next to last" sounds a bit long (as in a lot of words), or perhaps un-educated. Maybe it's different where you come from, but where I come from, while a six year old wouldn't know it, it isn't too much of a fancy term. Sorry this was so late in coming.

[edit] PSP Redirect

Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. I know you were trying to help, but that page must be left there so people can find other pages on stuff that uses the name PSP. Thanks. - iGod 12:50, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

That is now under the title PSP. The- 12:52, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

Oh I am terribly sorry. I've striked out that warning. - iGod 12:53, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Manual of style

I noticed that you essentailly reverted my reduction of solitary year linking (i.e. from 1997 to 1997. I probably should have explained – I was delinking the years in accordence to Wikipedia's Manual of Style; specifically, making links relevent to the context. According to the guide: "Months, days, years" should not be linked; only full dates, like those that include the month and day, should be linked. - Hbdragon88 21:19, 31 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Crash Nitro Kart

How different are these games? I don't see why they need two different titles if there is some connection between them. Cheers! BD2412 T 17:55, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:MKDS9.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:MKDS9.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 11:53, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
