The Show (Original Soundtrack) is a hip-hop soundtrack for the movie The Show. The soundtrack is presented by Russell Simmons of Def Jam to showcase the best of hip hop music. The album was the put together by A&R newcomer, Drew Dixon, who shares executive producer credits with Simmons on the album. Dixon went on to have major impact as an A&R executive working with Brand Nubian, Q-Tip, Loon, Whitney Houston, Deborah Cox, Aretha Franklin, Carlos Santana and John Legend. Simmons, who was already a titan in the music world at the time of the The Show's release, has since become a pop culture icon with businesses ranging from entertainment and fashion to finance.
