The Mirror is the seventh song on Dream Theater's 1994 album, Awake. The lyrics, written by drummer Mike Portnoy, deal explicitly with his then-problem of alcoholism. Many fans consider this song to be a prequel to the Alcoholics Anonymous suite, though it is not part of the suite itself.
