The College of Saint Rose is a private, independent, co-educational college in Albany, New York, founded in 1920 by the Sisters of Saint Joseph. It enrolls a total of approximately 5,000 students (3,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate).
Named after Saint Rose of Lima, the college offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in over 50 areas. The school's primary colors are white and gold, but black and gold are used for marketing purposes. The school's NCAA Division II sports teams are referred to as the Golden Knights.

- Mary Daly - Received her B.A. in English. Daly went on to earn an M.A. in English from The Catholic University of America and a doctorate in religion from St. Mary's College. She is known for her large body of work about radical feminism.
- Jimmy Fallon - Character on various Saturday Night Live skits. He left Saint Rose with one semester to go to pursue his career by joining a comedy group in California.
- Marilee Jones - Dean of Admissions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before she resigned after admitting that she had lied on her resume. She falsely listed degrees from three colleges - but not her legitimate degree from The College of Saint Rose.
- Garth Joseph - Former National Basketball Association player.
- Loretta A. Preska - Federal judge.
- Mike Goudreau – Writer for such VH1 shows as "100 Greatest Kid Stars" (2005); "Black in the 80s" (2005); and "I Love the '80s Strikes Back" (2003).
