The Britt Allcroft Company

The Britt Allcroft Company was a company created by Britt Allcroft and Angus Wright in 1984. The company changed its name to Gullane Entertainment in 2000 which in 2002 was taken over by HIT Entertainment.

It produced shows such as Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends, Magic Adventures of Mumfie and Shining Time Station.

Purchased the assets to Neil Buchanan's company, The Media Merchants Television Company Ltd. with the rights to Art Attack and ZZZap!.

  • 'Tis a Gift -- First aired 1990. A live-action Christmas special of the same series. As the adults bicker over who will play Santa's Helper, Matt and Tanya are left to play with Vicki, a girl unwilling to experience the joys of the season. Featuring Lloyd Bridges as Mr. Nicholas, this holiday special features Christmas Carols by The Juke Box Puppet Band and a Thomas the Tank Engine story told by Ringo Starr as Mr. Conductor.
  • Magic Adventures of Mumfie -- First aired 1994. Based on a series of books by Katharine Tozar featuring Mumfie and his friends. A musical adventure featuring the voice of Patrick Breen.
  • Captain Pugwash -- First aired 1998. Captain Pugwash and his mates search for treasure on the Black Pig against the evil Cut Throat Jake. Originally based on characters by John Ryan.
  • Eckhart -- First aired 2000. About a little mouse and his friends who has a lot of adventures traveling around the world.
