"The GTA series had appeared on PlayStation 2 and Xbox, but had never made it to the Nintendo GameCube, due to Nintendo's longstanding policy of generally shunning adult content. The Simpsons Hit & Run is therefore the closest approach to GTA possible on the GameCube."

What about True Crime: Streets of LA? That could be seen as a GTA clone which was released for the Gamecube.

This is a trivial subject for an article.

...and why are there three different articles on it? Trivial or not, if it's staying, shouldn't they be merged? Azure Haights 18:48, Oct 13, 2004 (UTC)

Ok, I stand corrected, 'n' redirects to here. But should the other article still be merged? Azure Haights 19:07, Oct 13, 2004 (UTC)

I made the third one a redirect here, and moved a bit of text that seemed not duplicated to this article-- though it seems somewhat contradictary. I hope someone knowledgeable about the game can sort it out. -- Infrogmation 19:17, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)

I think the whole paragraph discussing GTA is a) nothing but conjecture and b) outright inaccurate, as Nintendo has approved many very GTA-like games, and the lack of its availablity on Nintendo's platform is at best only partially due to the actual violent content of the game. On top of this, the game under discussion is available for all of the major gaming platforms, not just the Gamecube. The argument doesn't seem to hold weight, so I'm cutting out that part of the discussion. Tsunomon 14:37, 28 September 2005 (UTC)Tsunomon

Character info

Do we really need as much detail on the characters as is given here? A simple list will do, as with the other games. Each of the characters has their own article so there's no need to just copy and paste from the instruction manual/GameFAQs. --L T Dangerous 18:22, 4 March 2006 (UTC)

I implemented most, if not all, of the NPC's into the List of Vehicles. GooTuM 05:25, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Walkthrough

This is written like a walkthrough. We're not writing walkthroughs, FAQs, etc, we are writing an encyclopedia! Leave all the former to Gamespot.--M Johnson (talkcontribs) 01:44, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] How about a list of references to the show?

Such as the Stonecutter's tunnel into the power plant?

But the entire game is a reference to the show! Mo-Al 04:43, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] extremely poor

The game was not "well recieved", it had numerous bad reviews along with the good reviews. Then theres the case of the unnecesary FAQ-like information in it. If we analize this article, all in all, theres very little real info.

What were these bad reviews? The game received widely positive reviews, I want a link to the numerous bad reviews. Gran2 08:15, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "The last Simpsons game ever made for a console"? Highly dubious.

Seems unlikley that this will be the last ever Simpsons game for a console. What is the editor trying to say? Caleb Osment 09:00, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Costumes

The costumes should be in the article as well. 124.181.203.111 10:21, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

No, they shouldn't, as per WP:NOT, a game guide. Gran2 11:28, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] cheats

Somebody needs to put in that cheats are in it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.195.5.152 (talk) 18:15, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

No they shouldn't. Gran2 18:19, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
