Does anyone know what this is? Seems to be a feature film, but IMDB doesn't mention it. Esn 21:30, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

That video is just the pilot story arc of the series collected on a single VHS as a so-called "movie" (not unlike the Phantom 2040 video or similar examples). Those first four or five episodes originally aired on Fox Kids (U.S.) weekday afternoons in an early promotional run (Fall 1990) when the show was titled simply "Dark Water", still vieing for a regular syndication home. Apparently for marketing purposes, the words "The Pirates of'" were subsequently added to the title along with some (dumbing-down) intro-sequence voiceover narration (...if I recall) when the show moved to ABC's Saturday morning lineup in the following year/s.

I am trying to find out where this series is originally from. I believe that the idea has come from a series of books, but cannot seem to find what they are called. A friend of mine says that he has read at least one of the books but cannot remember the name of them. Recently my changes were undone by an unanymous user and StoneCold. Do I really have to explain why detailed lists of fictional, in-universe places, weapons, enemies, treasures etc etc etc are not part of Wikipedia?
