"...allowing the opponent to land punches. Weathering the blows, the boxer lures the opponent into expending energy whilst conserving his/her own. This sounds like a description of this Simpsons episode, except it's taken directly from the Boxing article, from the "Rope-a-Dope" strategy as used by Muhammad Ali. Shawnc 05:22, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Anyone know the song played at the end as clips of moe doing good deeds are shown? Dermo69

-It's a Barbra Steisand song (well, she made it popular) called "People", but in the episode it's performed by a woman named Sally Stevens. I would have put it in the article, but the psychotic edit Nazis don't let anyone edit "their" page, even though it's an easily verifiable fact.

And also, as stated below, the music during the off-color montage definately is based on The Flower Duet, from the opera Lakme. Once again, the edit Nazis have abstained from including this obvious fact, because they adhere to the words of the writers and cast, even if the cast and writers aren't wholly aware themselves.

We are not editing Nazis... The fact is you've defeated yourself with your argument. If the writers and cast arn't aware of something, it means that it was never intended to be a reference to that, it was written to be that and therefore it is not a fact that it is a reference to it. And also if you have info that is verifiable as you have said, then feel free to add it in, baring in mind that tis article is Good Article Standard. Gran2 20:44, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

I believe that it's an original composition by Alf Clausen that is based on the song played in Raging Bull. Check out snpp.com for more info. -- Scorpion0422 02:17, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Yardley discusses this in the commentary, and no one corrects her assumption that it's an original piece of music by Clausen. Actually, it's a fairly famous passage by Leo Delibes from his opera 'Lakme' known as the "Flower Duet."

The song is a Clausen composition and not Lakme's flower duet. It is most definitely done in the style and sound of Lakme's flower duet but carefully listening to the original composition vocals and the montage vocals, one can easily determine that they are not the same. -Spirolli, 10:52 October 23, 2006 (EST)

[edit] Toy Story to Episode reference

I deleted the reference to Toy Story for two reasons. One, is the fact that this episode premiered 12 days before Toy Story was released. Furthermore, simpsons episodes take months to make and it is unlikely they would have used it in the episode. Two, is simply that the reference in trivia is nothing but a similarity and has no evidence of actual influence. -Spirolli 1:36 AM November 16 (EST)

This is not the only time we see Jimbo's father. Jimbo's father can be seen in the father son picnic crowd in Ice Cream of Margie (with the Light Blue Hair).
