Actor Leonard Nimoy portrayed himself in two episodes of The Simpsons. In the fourth season episode, "Marge vs. the Monorail", he is seen viewing the maiden voyage of the Springfield monorail. In the eighth season episode "The Springfield Files", Nimoy begins the episode hosting a program on alien encounters.
