The Texas Folklife Festival is an annual event sponsored by the Institute of Texan Cultures celebrating the many ethnicities represented in the population of Texas. Forty different ethnic groups will be represented at the 2007 Festival, to be held on the grounds of the Institute in HemisFair Park in San Antonio, Texas from June 8 to June 10.
The first Festival was held in September 1972, and in later years in August, until 2000 when it was moved to June.
