Terry Ryan (ice hockey)

Terry Ryan (born January 19, 1977 in St. John's, Newfoundland) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player, principally for the Montreal Canadiens. He played left wing.

Terry Ryan was selected 8th overall, in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He was selected as the 1st choice of the Montreal Canadiens.
Despite his high ranking, Ryan played only 4 games for the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL over parts of three seasons. The majority of his career was spent in the minor professional hockey leagues. He was later dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs who never called him up from the farm team in St. John's.

In 2007, Terry Ryan represented Canada at the ISBHF ball hockey tournament in Germany. He led the team to a Gold medal.
