Maybe it should be added that the 1992 series was a great success in Italy, airing prime time and being re-aired several times. This would also explain why they did a sequel in 2000 only for the Italian market. The main actor also made some appearance in Italian prime time shows and personal interviews.

The 2000 series was not a success anyway, mainly to poor story and "soap opera" quality filming.
