Tempered Zealot Productions is an independent American motion picture production and distribution company, founded in 2003 and based in Columbus, Ohio.

The company was started by writer/director Jerod Brennen in 2003 and in 2004 added partner Justin Lewis (a.k.a. J. Michael Lewis) as a vehicle to produce their work and market mostly thriller and horror stories.

Tempered Zealot movies have played in several film festivals in the United States and three festival abroad. The company won the Best Horror Short award at the The Indie Gathering in 2007 for A Thousand Words: Bloodline (which is the sequel to 2005's A Thousand Words).[citation needed]

The company is currently working on its first feature length motion picture which is to be comprised of 12 short segments each helmed by a different director.
