Telephone numbers in Canada
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Telephone numbers in Canada all have the same format, consisting of the country code, followed by an area code (Numbering Plan Area, or NPA), then a central office code (or exchange code, denoted by NXX), and finally a station code. This is represented as 1-NPA-NXX-CODE, in which the country code is "1". Area codes are managed via the North American Numbering Plan.
