Talisman is an upcoming video game which will be downloadable from both the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade. A version will also be developed for Microsoft Windows.[2] Based closely on the board game of the same name from Games Workshop, it was being developed by Big Rooster, but Capcom has announced they are seeking new developers. The game's release was due to coincide with the release of the latest edition of the board game, but has been indefinitely delayed.[1]

[edit] Gameplay

Talisman is a fantasy hybrid board/role-playing game. Players move across a 3D virtual board, fighting creatures, collecting items, and strengthening their characters through experience. The ultimate goal is to defeat the other players, typically by reaching the Crown of Command on the game board.

The computerized translation supports up to four players, either online or offline. Including 25 different characters from the game and its expansions, it also promises additional downloadable content, such as extra characters and alternate ending conditions.[3]

[edit] 1985 computer game

A separate computer game, released in 1985 for the ZX Spectrum, was also called Talisman and based on the board game.[4]
