A Talent Platform is an alternative to an Applicant Tracking System or Talent Management System. Much like an ATS or TMS, Talent Platforms are electronic services that make corporate recruiting much easier. However, unlike those systems, a Talent Platform makes it possible for an organization to manage the entire employee lifecycle in one, comprehensive solution.
Talent Platforms comprise many talent technology functions into one system that can be used for all aspects of human resources. Beyond basic recruiting tasks and applicant tracking, Talent Platforms also perform candidate screening, workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and off-boarding.
The purpose of a Talent Platform is to eliminate the need to purchase multiple, costly systems that do not communicate well with each other. This saves both time and money required for training users and upgrading the system. Often, a Talent Platform is delivered in a SaaS model.
