Some of these do have research value. Also if you delete it without my permission I'll just put it back so don't bother--T. Anthony (talk) 08:00, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The eccentric list

T Anthony, could you please again have the eccentric list? I would be interested in starting some of the articles. Editorofthewiki 14:29, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

My pleasure. It did look too bare once I removed that stuff. I'm moving most of it to an archive.--T. Anthony (talk) 14:32, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Also, if you could ask the deleting admin I would also like you to recreate the other lists. Pehaps you could move them to my talk page as I am interested in creating such articles. Editorofthewiki 00:44, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
You can check Talk:T. Anthony/Archive 8 for some of the "in the news" deals. Or do you mean like the African list and the Women's list? I was a bit bummed they got deleted as well. I don't know how to deal with admins though, is there like a special protocol or something? I'll ask the guy/gal who deleted them though.--T. Anthony (talk) 02:01, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Well the other old lists are back so you can check them out. I did remove a few names, but I hope that doesn't bother you.--T. Anthony (talk) 04:41, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Uhh thanks I guess.--T. Anthony (talk) 02:03, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Brazil

I'm considering joining this. Interestingly it's not because I'm that interested in Brazil. It's just that it's the fifth most populated nation, but seems pretty poorly covered. (Exempting maybe coverage of Brazilian athletes) Indonesia is maybe even worse covered, but that seems a tad more understandable as their language is more unrelated to ours and harder to find translation sites for. Also Indonesia has fewer Internet users per-capita.[10]--T. Anthony (talk) 03:37, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Science fiction writers

Considering the demographics of this place the coverage of Sci-Fi/SF writers is not exactly great. Maureen F. McHugh's article is pretty much a stub. She's fairly major and even had a blog. Nancy Kress's article is kind of mediocre, but she's one of the most critically successful SF writers of the nineties. On the more populist/media side Roger MacBride Allen seems to have a better article in German than the one in English and there was no Michael Cassutt article until I created one a few weeks ago.--T. Anthony (talk) 12:29, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Carlos Minc

Hello T. Anthony! How are you? I saw the name of Carlos Minc on your talk page and I created the article. Thank you! Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 08:27, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Oh I'm okay. In my little town we have a big parade on Memorial Day weekend and kind of a celebration. I saw the parade, but slept through most of the rest. Thanks on Minc. I've long been interested in improving coverage of the developping world and it's good to get help on that.--T. Anthony (talk) 08:34, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
I am not from the west. I would also like to improve coverage of the developing world. I have created more than 100 articles and I want to create more articles related to the Third World countries. Where do you live? Are you from the English speaking part of the world? Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 13:30, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
No, I'm from the United States. I've never been outside the US or even in a state that borders Mexico. However I've been interested in other countries and cultures since I was quite little. I also took a year of Chinese and I have an aunt who lived in Sri Lanka.--T. Anthony (talk) 14:15, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
You are from the English speaking part of the world - the United States. I am interested in the United States. I have studied about the American history and culture. You are a friendly person. I like you. You are probably older than me. I am young. I hope we will meet again. Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 03:35, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
That's nice of you to say. I'm 31 years old, which does make me a bit of an old man for Wikipedia. (They removed age categories, but most people were in "born in 1981" or later) Anyway thanks again, maybe you can check out some of the lists of red-links I've done. I'm thinking of making a specific one for Brazil or Latin America.--T. Anthony (talk) 03:38, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
You are not that old! By the way, I am younger than you!! I really enjoyed talking with you. Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 06:58, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I just created a Brazil list. I might expand it some more this weekend.--T. Anthony (talk) 08:03, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Brazil list? I couldn't find it! Masterpiece2000 (talk) 04:43, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
I looked at your user page. It is at the top of your talk page! Masterpiece2000 (talk) 05:31, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Center of Wikipedia

When you discount articles on years/lists the center of Wikipedia is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the United Kingdom.[11] I say "unsurprisingly" for a couple reasons. First, despite complaints of American spelling, Wikipedia covers Britain quite well. It's rare that I discover a "missing British person" on Wikipedia and cricket-related lists are featured more often than basketball or baseball lists. (NFL lists are frequently featured, but American football links to the rest of the world less than British cricket) Second many inexperienced Wikipedians create US-related articles that don't include internal links. Third America is federalized so more likely to link their people and things to individual states bypassing any link to the US article.--T. Anthony (talk) 21:25, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Copy Vio

No, you're recently created article was not a copy vio. StewieGriffin! • Talk 09:33, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

I always worry I'll accidentally do that. The one time I got accused of it I hadn't ever even seen the article I was claimed to have "lifted" phrases from, which maybe makes me even more nervous.--T. Anthony (talk) 12:10, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Obelisk of São Paulo

Thank you for your contributions. Regards, Masterpiece2000 (talk) 12:19, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome. I'm just glad you made it. Obelisks are kind of neat and I'm pleased that the Brazil red-list has gotten so much attention. Also I see Carlos Minc made it to "Did you know?" Good job!--T. Anthony (talk) 12:21, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
