[edit] Bruckner on finale- quote (?)

In a review by Ron McDonald (reviewing Daniel Barenboim's recording of the symphony for Teldec in Fanfare Magazine, May (June) 1993 issue, p. 181, ISSN 0148-9364) Bruckner is quoted as having said (how reliably quoted, I do not know...) of the finale to his fifth symphony (that it was his "contrapuntal masterpiece", ... and) that he "would not write it again for a thousand gulden" . Is there a good source for this quote? Schissel | Sound the Note! 06:10, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
