[edit] Pakistan shoot-downs
I reworded the sentence because PAF involvement in Afghanistan was controversial and I doubt anyone can provide definitive data. Soviet pilots, restricted by rules of engagement to stay at least 10 km from the Pakistani border and prohibited from firing in the direction of Pakistan, claimed that PAF would routinely fire across the border at Soviet aircraft operating in the Afghani airspace as well as make incursions into Afghanistan (Markovskiy, see article for complete reference). I'm sure PAF would disagree and claim innocence. Hence I tried to make the statement more neutral. - Emt147 Burninate! 20:07, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 3-view
Can anybody provide a 3-view of the Su-17M4/Su-22M4? The current 3-view is clearly not -- judging by the short nose, no missile pylons, and no ram scoop on the tail it's a Su-17M2 or a Su-22 (the rear fuselage looks a little fat but I don't know it this is artist error or supposed to represent the Su-22 with the larger R-29 engine). - Emt147 Burninate! 23:39, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
If it will be usefull I could change data of dimensions with 1 mm acuracy for Su-22M4K ((for instant total length is 19,026 m, on pl-wiki we've got them from orginal instruction of Su-22 published by our AF) Radomil talk 00:06, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Within 2 units is plenty for encyclopedia IMHO. :) - Emt147 Burninate! 01:53, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
