Slane Concert

See Talk:Slane Concert on how I edited 149.157.1.154's sentence about Slane is NOT Dublin. -- Patleahy 03:22, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

That's fair enough Pat, thanks for your help. Stu ’Bout ye! 08:05, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Belfast project

Take a look mate. :) --Mal 10:02, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Please take the time to look at this page: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Belfast. Thanks Stu. --Mal 01:43, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Not interested mate..? --Mal 23:43, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

I'll get ivolved in some way Mal. My editing time is quite limited at the minute. Stu ’Bout ye! 16:21, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

No probs Stu. Sorry if my last comment sounded curt. I just don't want this new Belfast project to go the way of the Do-Do the way the Northern Ireland project did.
You're a major contributor to articles relating to Northern Ireland, with a wealth of knowledge and a major NPOV style (as far as I can see). With that in mind you might find that, after your initial familiarisation with what the project pages (for both Belfast and NI) have to offer is actually very useful in both collaboration and solo-editing of NI-related articles. Its just that initial time you spend looking into it.. and I understand that completely. Often my own editing time is limited (as it will be very soon for a few days I think).
Anyway, I'll keep giving you the heads up here, unless you'd rather I didn't. :) --Mal 03:39, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Fatalities by town rethink

I have just added a piece to Wikipedia talk:Northern Irish Wikipedians' notice board following your revert of my Crossmaglen troubles entries which now makes it look as if nothing happened in Crossmaglen at all. As you will see I am seeking a rethink of the 5 fatalities or more policy and now suggesting a 2 fatalities or more policy. Ardfern 21:58, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

Not sure of the relevance of going to the Irish notice board - see Wikipedia talk:Northern Irish Wikipedians' notice board addition Ardfern 21:48, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Holywood Ex.

Hi. You said you drove past the unoccupied units at Holywood Exchange. The last time I was there the gates were closed. Have they opened it up lately or are they open business hours? Mark83 20:22, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Not sure to be honest Mark. Think I just saw them as I was driving into B&Q, or it might have been from the road in. Stu ’Bout ye! 22:14, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

St George's Market

I started an article for St George's Market, and then realised it was on your to do list. Feel free to help expand it. Cordless Larry 13:03, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi Larry. Good job, I've nothing much to add. The last sentence seems a bit out of place to me, maybe it could be reworded? Stu ’Bout ye! 09:36, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
The last sentence was because I though the BBC article was worth referencing. It does sound a bit odd, but I'm not sure what to replace it with. Cordless Larry 13:02, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Northern Ireland

A request for mediation has been filed with the Mediation Committee. It doesn't list you as a party, but you may wish to add yourself. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Northern Ireland and, if you wish, add you name and indicate that you agree to mediate. If you are unfamiliar with mediation, please refer to Wikipedia:Mediation. There are only seven days for everyone to agree, so please check as soon as possible. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 18:20, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Historical reference to City of Derry/Londonderry

Hi, sorry to drop this message onto your page but I'm trying to invoke a discussion on the WP:IMOS page as to what to use for the historical references to the city of Derry/Londonderry. I am trying to obtain a non-POV neutral discussion over what terminology to use for this or whether the IMOS as it stands should indeed cover this. Since you have been involved in discussions over Derry or County Londonderry and the likes in the past I thought you may like to get involved in the discussion. See the appropriate talk to get involved. Thank you for your time. Ben W Bell talk 16:24, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

Image:Wayne McCullough.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Wayne McCullough.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok 18:30, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Albert statue.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Albert statue.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image:Campbell College.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Campbell College.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

Thank you. bogdan 09:57, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
