[edit] Possibly not-so-neutral examples?

The examples provided in the article are quite illustrative of the use of this term. However they're all related to actions involving the US Navy. Can anyone please provide more varied references, just to ensure that this term is universally used? (unless this is not the case, so it should be stated that way).
