Stinson Municipal Airport (IATA: SSF, ICAO: KSSF), originally called Stinson Field, is a reliever airport located six miles south of downtown San Antonio’s central business district. The airport has two runways and its elevation is 577 feet (176 m) above sea level.

Established in 1938, Stinson Municipal Airport is the second oldest general aviation airport in continuous operation in the United States.[1]
During World War II the airfield was used by the United States Army Air Forces as a training base. At the end of the war the airfield was returned over to the local government for civil use.
The Airport is also home to the Texas Air Museum.
