i've heard that steve clark played in a few local/garage type bands before def leppard, but i'm pretty sure these were bands that played other bands' songs. the kind of bands that do a gig on someone's carport here, a gig in someone's backyard (or frontyard) there...

[edit] You have the wrong person

Steve Clarke was not the one that commited suicide it was Phil Collen

Phil Collen is still alive. Panastasia 19:56, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

And he didn't commit suicide either, his death was accidental.

The One Sweet Day article claims the song by Mariah Carey was about David Cole so I removed it from the trivia section on Clark. If anybody can substantiate it then they can restore it, but I think that was the wrong person, also. Smallpond 22:23, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

I heard around the end of the 80's, Steve Clark was found unconscious in Minneappolis. His blood/alcohol level was .59 ALMOST double from what killed Led Zeppelin's drummer Jon Bonham.

And Steve Clark played alternate intros/riffs for Gods of War (from Hysteria) and Bringin' On The Heartbreak (from High 'N' Dry).

[edit] Grammar, wording, and punctuation?!

I think it is difficult to read this article -- all the mistakes in grammar, difficult wording, and incorrect punctuation take away from what should be here. I am going to work on it a bit, but I don't want to change some things since I am unsure of the intent of the author(s), I don't want to fix something only to have it change the intent of something written. As such, if I change something and it looks wrong, please fix it! 198.232.29.100 16:15, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
