Stephen L. Norris

Stephen L. Norris is one of the co-founders of The Carlyle Group, an American private equity firm and currently the Chairman of Stephen Norris Capital Partners. He is a former member of the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, having being appointed by George H. W. Bush in 1990. [1]

Stephen L. Norris and his Utah partner, Mark Robbins, were subject to a Utah civil complaint filed by his former partners GMG Capital, however Norris was dismissed from the case for lack of jurisdiction.[2]
Both Norris and Robbins announced an MOU with the SCO Group to purchase a controlling interest in SCO for 5 million dollars and the promise of a loan of up to 95 million dollars to fund bankruptcy obligations, future appeal bonds, penalties and litigation expenses. [3]
Norris is listed as a partner of Michael Staisil in Staisil Norris Partners, Ltd., which registered the SNPLTD.com domain in April 2007, and is listed as a chairman of Forum Capital Group. He also founded a non-profit organization, the Stephen L. Norris Foundation.
Norris is referred as owner of a business "76 & Madison" that is working with Hollywood Studios International, a film production company with offices in LA and Dubai, UAE.
