Stealth wallpaper

Stealth wallpaper has been developed by UK defense contractor BAE Systems to prevent electronic eavesdropping on Wi-Fi and Local area network (LAN) systems, although this product is not yet commercially available.

It controls the transmission of Radio frequency (RF) signals and provides a safer Wireless LAN (WLAN) as an active frequency selective surface (AFSS).

The panels are 50 to 100 micrometres thick and are made in the same way as printed circuit boards - layers of copper on Kapton polymer.
