[edit] Staaar-glider

It was common at the time for Rainbird's games to include a tape cassette, with a version of the theme tune produced with studio instruments. I had Starglider 2 and Carrier Command for the Sinclair Spectrum, which came with music tapes (the latter had an actual song, with vocals); I didn't have the original Starglider, however, and so I can't confirm if it had a tape or not. I suspect it didn't, although the 16-bit version of the theme tune sounds as if it was sampled from a studio performance (the Spectrum theme music was very different, although memorably good). The best source I can find doesn't mention a tape, but then again it doesn't mention a tape for Carrier Command or Starglider 2 either. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 22:28, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
