St. Colum's Primary School is situated in the town of Portstewart, Northern Ireland. It caters for children aged between 4 and 11 years. The school is located in Lever Road close to the centre of Portstewart and is one of two primary schools in the town, the other being Portstewart Primary School. Primary 7 (10-11 year olds) are prepared for the 11-plus examination with most progressing to local grammar schools.
The principal of the primary school is Mrs. McCullagh, a former teacher at the school. The school nursery is placed right beside the main school, giving young children the chance to settle in well before progressing to the main school. The school was created in the 1950s and has always had a reasonable number of pupils.
They also take part in a joint carol service every year with Portstewart Primary School.
