The Subway Nightrider is a Strathclyde Partnership for Transport contracted bus route in Glasgow, United Kingdom. The service is currently contracted to First Glasgow, the service was announced in February 2007[1] and started in April of that year[2] to provide public transport around the city and weekends when the Subway is closed for maintenance.
In May 2008 it was revealed that the bus service was to discontinue after the original 15 month contract ended due to high subsidisation costs, it was roughly costing £15 per passenger for the service to run.[3]
