Springfield News-Leader

The Springfield News-Leader is a newspaper published in Springfield, Missouri. It is the predominant newspaper for the city of Springfield and covers the Ozarks. It costs $1.75 on Sunday and $.50 other days of the week. The Springfield News-Leader has a morning circulation of 60,889 and a Sunday circulation of 88,970.
The Springfield Leader began circulation in 1867 and merged with the Springfield Daily News in 1933. The newspaper joined Gannett in 1977. Morning and afternoon editions were consolidated to become the Springfield News-Leader in 1987.
