[edit] spinal stimulator

when a stimulator don't work after the 3 to 7 day trial do they remove the wires in my back or will they stay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.53.68.61 (talk) 01:17, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

I suggest that you ask your physician about your personal health concerns. WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:42, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
The leads for the trial unit are temporary and are removed with the electrode portion. (This could be a general interest question.) The wires and the electrode for the temporary unit are always removed; the permanent ones are much more sturdy to withstand being in a human body for years and years.
