[edit] Split article

This article, judging by the title, is supposed to be about the ABC series Spenser: For Hire and its ABC/Lifetime spinoff films. The TV movie series made for TNT starring Joe Mantegna is NOT Spenser: For Hire, it is a completely separate adaptation of the Parker novels. It has no place in this article; it should, perhaps, be moved to an article about the novels if not an article of its own. If it has to remain here, then the title of this article should be changed. The two production series have nothing in common except a common literary source. Canonblack 17:05, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

I would say moved to a movie article rather than here, or the article about the book series, or else deleted. The mention of the other TV movies is noteworthy because they involve the two principals from the series, but the new movies are entirely unrelated to the series. [edit] DVD release

Earlier today, an anonymous user posted that the release of season 1 DVDs are pending. However, I have not found any verification of this statement. IMDb has nothing about it, and the only DVDs I have found anywhere on the internet thus far are only bootlegs.

If anyone can verify that there will be an official release of Spenser: For Hire DVDs (the 1985-1988 series, not the tv movies from the 1990s), then by all means replace the DVD section that I deleted.
