[edit] Fictional character biography

Dallas Gibson was once an advisee and protege of Emma Frost, co-headmaster at the Xavier Institute, and thus had made acquaintances of the students who would be assigned to the Hellions. However, with the invention of the training squad system, he was assigned a new advisor, Cyclops, and placed in a different training squad, the Corsairs, which includes the three surviving Stepford Cuckoos, Quill, and Dryad. He was voted "Most Likely to Marry a Baseline," (i.e., non-mutant human)[1]

Specter is now one of the thousands of mutants who lost his powers as a result of the House of M. However, Dallas was confirmed alive after Reverend Stryker attacked the depowered mutants at the Institute[2].

[edit] Powers and abilities

Specter's mutant powers were removed during the House of M storyline. Formerly, he could blend with his own shadow, which gave him enhanced strength and speed. He could not stay in shadow-form for too long without succumbing to his own darkness. The shadow form was apparently stronger during the day.
