The Crimson Dawn is a fictional mystical substance which has appeared in the comic books published by Marvel Comics X-Men and part of the Marvel Comics universe. Its first appearance was in Uncanny X-Men #330 (March 1996) in which the substance is presented as being a life-giving elixir. In the events of Uncanny X-Men #329 The X-Men team member Psylocke is mortally wounded.[1] The Crimson Dawn is thus presented as a method of healing Psylocke, and Psylocke's team -mates Wolverine and Archangel, accompanied by Doctor Strange, undertake to find it.[2] They discover the Crimson Dawn, and although Psylocke is not with them to sip the elixir, Doctor Strange summons the piece of Psylocke's soul she has entrusted to Archangel and tosses it into the Dawn itself, becoming restored to full health in the process.[3]
