[edit] Character of the area
South Tottenham has a significant Jewish community.[citation needed] Over recent years cheaper housing developments have resulted in an influx of immigrants, especially from eastern Europe, South America and Africa.[citation needed] It remains a culturally diverse and ever changing area, this can be seen by the businesses in the area.[citation needed]
It is currently classed as one of the more deprived areas in London[1] and qualifies for the higher Stamp Duty threshold.[2]
It is served by South Tottenham Station on London Overground, and by Seven Sisters Tube on the Victoria line.
