Brush. Lowden Elementary is currently vacant since its closure on June 6, 2007. The school district is in the process to have it up for sale in the Fall of 2008. Southlyn Elementary is now used for a preschool program and community room.
  • Regina High School is a parochial high school for girls, located in South Euclid. Regina's basketball team was the Ohio State Girl's Basketball Champions from 2000-03, and also took the title in 2005. [1]

[edit] Developments

  • Cedar Center's final remaining tenants vacated in May 2008 to allow for the entire shopping center to be demolished later this year to make way for multi-level mixed-use retail, residential, office, and public green space including a large clock tower. The project is being executed by Coral Company, which recently completed the other side of Cedar Center in University Heights, across the street.
  • A large parcel of land on Cedar Road, between Warrensville Center and South Belvoir was recently sold to a private developer and the land has been zoned for dense residential. The parcel of land sits directly across the street from the 5-story University Center. South Euclid's zoning board wants to make sure the land is used effectively.
  • Robert Maschke Architects is proposing a new futuristic home on South Belvoir Blvd., tentatively titled, The Tanruther Residence. The 6 level home wouldn't be the first time a significant Cleveland architect built a home on South Belvoir. Just several houses down from the proposed Tanruther Residence stands Fleischman & Associates 8 level home that Robert Fleischman himself lived in when it was originally built in 1966.
