Talk:Somers, New York
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
First entry on the talk page. Removed this from the main article, junk added in for self promotion by some band: Somers is also the hometown of the radical prog-rock band Pujols Divided. Drew Walraven, Andrew Macaluso and Steve Ballow make up the trio of musicians whose work has been hailed as "ground-breaking" (Rolling Stone), "suburb-shattering" (Blender) and "some of the most impassioned musicianship to be heard in years," (VH1). They are currently in the studio working on their sophomore release, "Who's Driving Tonight?" and will tour with Orgy and the Abstract Truth in the fall.
Obviously they haven't been mentioned by any of those sources. Just some kids out of high school (Ballow is Class of 05) trying to use Wikipedia for self promotion.

On Monday, April 30, 2007, because of a funeral for one of their employees, Super Deli in Lincolndale was closed. That morning, while driving through the hamlet, there was a sign, placed directly across Lovell Street from Super Deli, urging customers to patronize Jesse's Deli (the two businesses can be seen from each others' parking lots.) This was a case of very poor judgment, exploiting the death of an employee of a rival business. 216.179.123.104 13:52, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
I heard that a beauty salon will open in the building that Super Deli is in. Of course, Appliance Sales Plus recently moved next door to a new building on Lovell Street. 216.179.123.52 14:56, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
