Sobhaganj is a census town under Alipurduar police station of Alipurduar subdivision [1]in Jalpaiguri district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

As of 2001 India census[2], Sobhaganj had a population of 4891. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Sobhaganj has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 60%. In Sobhaganj, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
