[edit] History
Initially published as a one-shot titled Smallville: The Comic and released on October 25, 2002, the title was successful enough to spawn an ongoing bi-monthly comic book series starting the following March.
Smallville was tied-in with the Smallville: Chloe Chronicles series, with issue 7 providing an enhanced backstory to the second volume of the series.[1]
After 11 issues the title was discontinued. Material from the first four issues of Smallville and from Smallville: The Comic was compiled into a graphic novel also entitled Smallville.[2]
