She later meets Clark in the Zone when General Zod, who was the one who destroyed Krypton, was possessing Lex Luthor and banished Clark to the Zone when he refused to join his side, and befriends him, telling stories of his father. She then tells him she is the only one who knows how to escape the Zone and she needs his help as the blood of the House of El is the only way to escape. The two are then ambushed by Nam-Ek, Aethyr and other Phantoms and Clark thinks that Raya is working with them and they are going to kill him but she takes his place and all are transported out of the Phantom Zone. He is a photographer and his stories always lead him to trouble. He was captured and almost killed by Gloria and threatened badly after going on his trail leading to Lex. Later he appears more manly when jealous of what Chloe thinks of Clark. Jimmy uses his intelligence of triangulation to help defeat Bronson as he brought Bronson, Lex and Lana back from another frequency. Jimmy later appeared when Javier came to Smallville and helped look after him with Chloe and find his mother.

[edit] Oliver Queen a.k.a. Green Arrow

Oliver Queen is a billionaire who left Star City to live in Metropolis. First introduced as an acquaintance of Lionel Luthor, and an enemy of his son, Lex Luthor, with whom he attended a prestigous private school in his childhood. Their animosity during this time would culminate in the death of classmate Duncan Allenmeyer, who was hit by a car after a confrontation with Lex over being accepted by Oliver and his clique.

Oliver Queen sent two of his men to capture and interrogate Lex in order to learn more about his abilities as the evil General Zod, and realizes that Lex remembers nothing of his time under the possession of the Kyrptonian criminal. Queen does, however, learn about Clark Kent.

Oliver later becomes romantically involved with Lois Lane. Their first date would be at Lex Luthor's mansion for a costume party, in which he wears an archer's costume reminiscent of Robin Hood. He makes his debut as the Green Arrow, a vigilante who aspires to attain justice for all people, by stealing a necklace, owned by Lionel Luthor, from around the neck of Martha Kent. Lois suspects that he is the rumored "Green Arrow Bandit," who is stealing from the wealthiest citizens of Metropolis. Clark would discover his true motives as the Green Arrow, as all of the stolen items were purchased from the black market, originally stolen from their rightful owners.

Oliver would begin to idolize Clark Kent, stealing a drug developed by Lex Luthor's scientists that can heal injuries and even reverse death, as he wants to be indestructible like Clark. The drug has a nasty side effect, however, inducing an irrational rage in the user, which causes him to nearly kill Lex. This prompts him to realize that Clark would never cross that boundary, and he ceases injections of the drug. Later Lois finds a scar in the same place the Green Arrow received was cut during one of his "Green Arrow" missions, at the same time Oliver left mysteriously during one of their dates. She begins to suspect that he is the Green Arrow Bandit, and, together with Jimmy Olsen, sets up a phony mugging to get Oliver to "rescue" her. When the mugging turns out to be all too real, the Green Arrow arrives, using super strength and speed to fight the thugs off. Lois kisses the Green Arrow, only to have Oliver Queen arrive and convince Lois that he is not the Green Arrow Bandit. Jimmy tries to get a photograph of him, but is rewarded with a blank shot as the "Green Arrow" (actually Clark in disguise) speeds away faster than his camera can capture any image.

Oliver has since left Metropolis, and along with Bart Allen, Arthur Curry, and Victor Stone, is part of the Justice League (not named yet in this incarnation), whose mission is to take down Lex's 33.1 labs.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

She has the power to control plant life which she used to attack two lovers killing the girl and using the male to reproduce with her vines. Her list of victims are Jimmy Olsen researching the deaths of the ones before him and Clark Kent who battles her but is strangled and then captured by the vines. Chloe discovers the vines die from electricity and saves Jimmy and Clark. Clark then finds Gloria attempting to kill a party guest in Lex's greenhouse but Clark kills her using his heat vision to set off the sprinklers shorting out the damaged lamps thus electrocuting Gloria into vaporization.

NOTE: This could be a reference to a Batman villain Poison Ivy who also has the ability to control plants and sometimes went up against Superman.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Super-strength and control of plants. She reproduces by planting seeds in the lungs of human men.

The next day Duncan is going to report them only to find out that Lex has told them trying to make a deal with them so they will no longer be rejects. But Duncan refuses their offer still wishing to do the right thing but Lex gets angry with him and almost beats him to death. Duncan, then scared of the sorry Lex, walks onto the street and is hit by a car. Ten years later Clark and Lois find that Lionel had kept him alive but he is immobile. He was given a new treatment developed from Kryptonite giving him the power of astral projection which he used to kill the two friends of Oliver Queen and almost killed Lex and Oliver before Clark saved them and Oliver's arrow shorted out his brain finally killing him.

Raya then brings Clark to the Fortress of Solitude sending out the signal of the House of El to lure Baern. Baern had absorbed the power cell of Brainiac's ship and has now ultimate power which he uses to kill Raya. But then a stunned Clark uses the Crystal to absorb Baern and bring him back into the Phantom Zone.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Super-strength, speed, and radiation manipulation.

[edit] Aldar

Not much is known about Aldar except for the fact that he was a Phantom Zone criminal. After escaping from the Phantom Zone, Aldar went on a killing spree, ripping the bones out of his victims. During his first encounter with Clark, the latter tried to subdue him with the crystal that Clark received from the Phantom Zone, but failed as Aldar's body was still in its corporeal state after he left the zone. After notifying Clark with this fact he throws him into a crane. After Clark jumps out, Aldar is gone. The next time Aldar encounters Clark, it's in an abandoned warehouse. Aldar lifts Clark into the air but is killed by the Martian Manhunter once he burns a handprint into Aldar's back.

Bronson finally captured Lana as well threatening to kill her but in a battle with Lex his own dagger was plunged into his heart and Lex and Lana returned to their normal frequency.

This character could be adapted from the teen titan villain control freak.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Transport himself and others through different frequencies.

[edit] J'onn J'onzz a.k.a. Martian Manhunter

  • Played by: Phil Morris
  • Appear in: "Static", "Labyrinth" and "Phantom"

Phil Morris was selected to portray Martian Manhunter for season six.[1] Although his name is never given, in the episode "Crimson", Chloe uses the name "Martian Manhunter" as did Kara (Supergirl) in reference to the character.[2]

In the comics J'onn J'onzz is one of the last remaining Martians in the Multiverse. His deranged brother, Ma'alefa'ak, unleashed a mind plague that consumed the entire population of Mars before J'onn could stop him. J'onn was then brought to Earth accidentally by Dr. Saul Erdel, who invented a teleporter that ran on volatile "zeta" scale radiation. Unfortunately the shock of J'onn's arrival, and the explosive self-destruction of his invention, was too much for the old man's heart, killing him and stranding J'onn. While Mars still lived J'onn had been a Manhunter, their equivalent of a policeman, so he decided to resume his job on his new home. He used his shape-shifting powers to assume a more human form and took the identity of John Jones, a Colorado police detective killed in the line of duty. He dedicated himself to protecting his adopted planet and the humans who inhabited it. Later he would become one of the founding members of the Justice League under the moniker, the Martian Manhunter.

It is unclear, as of April 2007, how much, if any, of this backstory remains canon in the Smallville universe. In Static J'onn appears at the very end. He saves Clark by phasing his hand through the Zoner, Aldar, burning a hand print into his back. He is then seen to fly into the night, leaving behind his trademark red streak. The Manhunter also leaves partly eaten Oreos at both the warehouse where he saves Clark and Clark's loft (the comic book version of the character was notoriously fond of the snack food).

In Labyrinth J'onn appears again, this time inside Clark's mind. Cloaked as an African-American man, he introduces himself as John Jones and admits that he's from Mars. After successfully convincing Clark to throw off the Phantom, disguised as Clark's psychologist, Dr. Hudson, he traps it in a red crystal, apparently with the same properties as Jor-El's.

In the sixth season finale, it is revealed that the Martian Manhunter was working with Lionel Luthor to gather up and trap/kill all of the Phantoms Clark was hunting. The Manhunter has been watching over him ever since Clark came to earth, though he would not help Clark with his missions or his troubles unless it was absolutely necessary, as in "Static" and "Labyrinth". Finally, only one Phantom remained, an artificial super Phantom which was created on Krypton and would survive if it found a Kryptonian host. The Manhunter tried to stop it, but he failed. When Clark was about to kill Lionel because Lionel had threatened Lana Lang, the Manhunter stopped Clark and revealed everything he knew.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Phasing, flight, super speed/strength/durability, telepathy, shapeshifting, heat vision, possibly more

One day they made a run for it but the ground swallowed Francisco up, leaving Javier alone. Javier met Clark Kent after sneaking into his barn and the two became friends, Clark helping Javier find Francisco and Esperanza, Javier's mother. Javier was left to stay with Chloe Sullivan and Jimmy Olsen, who were two of Clark's friends, but escaped to Granville. Clark brought him back to Smallville and he defeated Jed McNally after being taken underground. Javier was then later reunited with his mother after finding out that Francisco was killed by Jed and with the help of Martha was on his way to becoming an American citizen.

[edit] Esperanza Ramirez

Esperanza is the mother of Javier and has been working in a laundro-mat in Granville for two years without him. He smuggled his way into America to see her and with the help of Clark Kent, Chloe Sullivan, Jimmy Olsen and Martha Kent the two were reunited.

Jed McNally was a criminal meteor-freak hired by Lex Luthor, but unknown to Lex he was getting illegal immigrants to work on his farm and he killed those who tried to escape but swallowing them up into the ground, as he was able to control the movement of land and could even burrow beneath it. Javier managed to escape and warned Clark who told Deputy Morales. Deputy Morales revealed the dead bodies of many illegal immigrants. They arrested Jed but he escaped beneath the earth and later attacked Clark Kent but was defeated. Jed McNally was last seen in a coma on Level 33.1. McNally was also a friend of Clark's late father, Jonathon, years before Jonathon's death in the one hundredth episode of the show in the previous fifth season.

She overhears the truth about Clark's homeworld of Krypton, as he is an alien named Kal-El. She writes an article trying to expose Clark and when Chloe stumbles upon it Linda threatens to publish it but Chloe trashes her computer with a hammer. Linda and Chloe then get into a murderous battle and in the end Chloe throws her into the street where she hits the windshield of Lana's SUV (now she is thought dead), but not before she transforms into liquid and we see her liquid form flow down the drain, possibly hinting a return.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Hydrokinetic, can also transform into water at will.

[edit] Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse

Bart Allen is first Justice League member shown in the episode "Run" where he saves Clark's dad from getting hit by a car, but while doing so, steals Jonathan's wallet. Clark runs after him but finds he is too slow and after a while Bart finally stops so Clark can catch him. The two later get together but Clark is still very suspicious of Bart, always accusing him of thievery. At the end of episode, Clark and Bart race, seemingly evenly matched. However, at the end, Bart gets a sudden burst of speed and leaves Clark in his wake. Finally in the episode "Justice," we see that Bart is working for the Green Arrow to get computer information about Lex's secret project 33.1. Bart is finally discovered by a security camera and is tricked and knocked unconciouss and thus captured by Lex. He awakens in a chamber that has pressure plates that will kill him if he stays in the same place for more than a millisecond. He spends the rest of the episode running to keep himself alive and is finally saved when Clark breaks the glass chamber and frees him. Bart then leaves with AC, Victor, and Ollie to form the beginnings of the Justice League.

We also learn in the episode that Ollie and Bart met while Ollie was out on patrol one night in Star City. Bart was helping himself to a free meal and Ollie stopped him. However, he could see that Bart was a good kid and only needed a little direction. So Ollie took Bart in and asked him to help in his quest to uncover and stop 33.1.

NOTE: Bart's codename is Impulse instead of Flash due to the fact that Bart Allen was originally known as Impulse, featured in the series Young Justice, before becoming Kid Flash and then eventually The Flash.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Super-Speed

[edit] Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman

While trying to sink a whaler off the coast of Japan, Curry (AC to his friends) was discovered, aided and rescued by the Green Arrow, (a.k.a. Oliver Queen. Following this, Arthur joined Oliver's team, the show's version of the Justice League. Clark Kent first learned of this during the rescue attempt to free Bart (Impulse) and seemed disappointed or angry that AC would work with Oliver. AC had chosen the name Aquaman and in 33.1 he and Victor found the main hardrive for the 33.1 operation so they could use this information when they left Metropolis to destroy 33.1.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Ultra-fast swimming, underwater breathing, enhanced strength and durability, and can create and throw water projectiles.

[edit] Victor Stone a.k.a. Cyborg

In Cyborg Victor Stone wakes up in a research facility, chained to a cage. A doctor helps him escape, but is killed in the act. Victor discovers that he is the sole survivor of a family car accident, and was taken by a branch of Luthorcorp and changed into a robotic weapon. Clark Kent is initially suspicious of him, and a fight ensues in which Victor discovers Clark's secret. Victor and Clark also realize that they know each other: before the accident, Victor was a wide receiver on a rival football team. Victor is constantly worried about what his old girlfriend, Katharine, will think of his new abilities. Also, in this episode, his weakness is revealed: he is shot in the right shoulder, where his power supply is located, and slowly bleeds blue fluid. With enough power drainage, Victor knows, he will die.

In Justice Victor and Katherine tried for a while to make things work between them. But eventually Katherine couldn't take it and dumped Victor. After that, Victor had been living on the streets until Oliver found him and recruited him for his team. The chance to do good in the world gave Victor a new reason to keep living and so he gladly accepted Ollie's offer. Oliver upgraded Victor's technology to include an infrared eye to replace his left one and a computer module in his left arm that can be used to hack into any computer system. With the help of AC, Victor broke into the mainframe of 33.1 and downloaded all the files with his new upgrade while Ollie was rescuing Clark and Bart. From these files, the team learns that Luthorcorp is starting divisions of 33.1 all over the globe. Victor joins the newly formed Justice League (minus Clark) and together they leave to go destroy 33.1 permanently.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Super Strength, invulnerability, enhanced speed and agility, computer-data and network manipulation

[edit] Dr. Hudson

Dr. Hudson was a phantom who tried to take over Clark but since he was a Kryptonian he had to battle Clark for supremacy in his mind, Clark believed he was in an asylum because he was crazy and he never had superpowers, wasn't an alien and had made everything up from his surroundings. Dr. Hudson almost defeated Clark but when Clark realized John Jones was right, he broke free and strangled Dr. Hudson so the phantom was driven out and absorbed by a crystal held by John Jones.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Can take over a host as he is a phantom; otherwise unknown.

[edit] Tobias Rice

  • Played by: Greyston Holt
  • Appear in: Freak

Tobias Rice is a metahuman with the ability to sense other metahumans. He was blinded in the second Meteor Shower that occurred in the fourth season finale, but he was left with the gift to sense other metahumans. Unfortunately, apart from his vision, his powers also came at the cost of his parents, who were presumed to have been killed by the same event that gave Tobias his abilities. When someone who is infected by meteors is in his vicinity, they glow blue in his eyes. Tobias' powers fall on the permanently active category and presumably operate by absorbing light into his eyes and then refining it as he perceives it with what's left of his sight, allowing him to see through a different spectrum of light where he can clearly witness the radiation coming from kryptonite-infected individuals as a vividly green outline of the person from which it was originating from. This might be the case since he claims to experience "raging headaches" when exposed too much to the light, which is why he always wears his shades. However, his ability to detect people with abilities is limited only to those who acquired them by kryptonite exposure, evident by the fact that he didn't identify Clark on their first meeting considering his abilities are only natural (for a Kryptonian residing within the solar system) and not as a result of being influenced by kryptonite; though he does seem to be able to identify meteor-infected people even if their abilities have yet to manifest, thus not aware that they were infected - such as in the case of Chloe. Used by Dr. Bethany with the promise of restoring his sight with a cornea transplant (but was delayed from time to time, fearing that such a procedure could cancel out his abilities), he was able to identify Daniel Kim, the telekinetic bowling alley shoe clerk, at Smallville Lanes. Daniel Kim was subsequently abducted and taken to Level 33.1 to have his DNA extracted and tagged with a GPS homing beacon and his memory of the event, including the abduction wiped. Tobias was later confronted by Clark Kent and Chloe Sullivan to ascertain his involvement. How Tobias views a crowd. The green figure being a Metahuman. In that encounter Tobias observed Chloe as a Meteor Infected and contacted Dr. Bethany. Chloe Sullivan was later abducted by Lex Luthor's men and treated in the same manner as Daniel. Later, Lana Lang would try to persuade Tobias to stop what he was doing. After Dr. Bethany's and Lex Luthor's scheme was exposed Lex ordered Dr. Bethany to bring Tobias back to him alive and unharmed to help tie up loose ends. Dr. Bethany believed he would be killed after handing over Tobias tried to kill Tobias. Lana who arrived at Tobias's home minutes before, complicated the plan, causing Dr. Bethany to come up with the cover story about his corneas being available. After feigning compliance to leave with Dr. Bethany, Tobias turned off the lights and shot the doctor who in turn attacked Tobias in the dark. After a struggle between the three of them, Clark Kent arrived using his superspeed to prevent Tobias from being killed. Oliver Queen, at the arrangement of Clark, put up the resources to have Tobias get a cornea transplant.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Identifying Meteor Freaks

[edit] Titan

Titan was a Phantom Zoner who escaped from the Phantom Zone. He was a fighter, he needed to fight, so he joined a Terran Web Series. Eventually Clark Kent was told by Oliver Queen about the Web Series. Later, Clark found the place, and was placed to fight against Lois Lane, who came undercover. However, Titan interfered, knocked out Lois, and killed Richtor Maddox. Clark cut the Cameras and after a brutish battle Titan died when Clark accidentally had Titan impaled by one of his own knives. Nothing else is revealed about this Zoner, except that he knows Clark is Kryptonian, indeed, knows he is Kal-El, and that his race seems to embrace the way of the warrior. His DNA was then used to both anchor the multitude of powers unto a single host and grant super-soldiers such as Wes Keenan super-strength.

NOTE: Titan is NOT the Superman villain known as Doomsday, known for killing Superman.

NOTE: It has been confirmed by the producers of Smallville that Doomsday will appear in season 8 and is Davis Bloome, a bartender at the Ace of Clubs.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Super-strength, stamina and durability, ability to grow bone like spikes from his arms.

[edit] Daniel Kim

  • Played By:
  • Appear in: Freak

Daniel Kim was an employee at the Smallville Lanes bowling alley. He was also a metahuman with the power of telekinesis. While giving Lana Lang bowling tips in an attempt to flirt with her, he surreptitiously moved Lana's bowling ball with his mind as it traveled down the lane so she could score a strike. When Tobias Rice pointed him out as a metahuman he was captured by people that worked for Lex Luthor and he was then brought to Level 33.1 and a GPS chip was implanted into him and more than likely had DNA extracted from his body as it later would happen to Chloe Sullivan. His memory was erased back to the point of just before his abduction and his only memory of the previous night was that he got drunk and later woke up in his own bed. He was then killed by people that work for Lex that made the murder look like a car accident.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Telekinesis

[edit] Moira Sullivan

Moira Sullivan is the mother of Chloe Sullivan. Moira was very sick (mentally ill). Moira pretending to be sick to separate herself from Chloe because of her ability and the accident when Chloe was a child. When Chloe was a child, she came home from school and she had ink all over her hands. Moira told Chloe to wash her hands but instead she went to play with her computer. Moira got so mad that she used her powers on Chloe and told her to wash her hands and scrub them until all the ink was gone. Chloe washed her hands until they were raw. Moira found Chloe and there was blood everywhere. Moira then woke up from her catatonic state because of Lex's drug. Moira kept saying that she wanted to see Chloe. Moira controlled Chloe to steal Lex's flash drive and find out where she is. Lex told her if she controlled a prisoner named Davidson that escaped from 33.1 she would see Chloe again. Moira controlled Davidson and told him to find Luthor and kill him but that plan backfired and Davidson ended up putting Lana in the hospital. Lex confronts her about it. Lex then threatened Moira and Moira told Chloe to get out of Smallville, she almost did but two of Lex's thugs intercepted her, knocking her unconscious and putting her in 33.1 with her mother. Chloe had an idea. When Moira pretended to be sick, Chloe ran out and grabbed another meteor freak named Lowell's hat and then Moira got it and then told Lowell to free both her and Chloe from 33.1. Lowell gets shot with a dart and then Moira and Chloe run. Moira gets captured and Chloe goes back to help. Moira had managed to grab hold of Chloe's necklace and told Chloe to do whatever it takes to get out of 33.1. Moira almost made her daughter kill Lex. But Clark manages to save him. Clark then saves Chloe and her mother. At Oliver Queen's loft, it was revealed that the effects of the drug Lex administered to Moira only last for 24 hours. Chloe offers to make a deal with Lex so she can get the drug but Moira tells her no. Moira was last seen in Oliver's apartment in her catatonic state.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Able to mentally and physically exert control over meteor freaks by touching their possessions.

[edit] Lowell

  • Played By: Juan Riedinger
  • Appeared In: Progeny

Lowell is a metahuman that is a Level 33.1 prisoner. His power is enormous super strength. It is unknown if his strength is equal to Clark Kent's or not. Lex Luthor uses him to intimidate Moira Sullivan, Chloe Sullivan's mother, by trapping her in a cell with him to get her to use her power of mind control over Lowell in self defense to see if she can control other Meteor Afflicted. She does and Lex gets his confirmation. Later, Moira and Chloe use him in an escape attempt with mind control over him in which he easily incapacitates two guards. However, Lowell is drugged with a tranquilizer dart and the escape attempt almost fails. They get out with the help of Clark. Lowell is still a captive of Level 33.1.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

Super Strength

[edit] Wes Keenan

Wes Keenan was a decorated Green Beret used by Lex Luthor as a prototype for Project Ares. He was an army brat like Lois Lane. He befriended both Lane and her father, General Sam Lane when they were young. The two had a childhood romance in grade school. Wes then joined the Army, where he was a decorated, model soldier, and trained to be a Green Beret. He married Jodi Keenan and went off to war.

As a Green Beret, he was severely injured on a mission in Afghanistan. His wife was informed of his death by helicopter crash, but she refused to believe he was dead and traced the connection between her husband and LuthorCorp. She confronted Lex Luthor and demanded to know the truth about her husband while threatening to blow up a series of underground tunnels with Lex inside. However, Jodi died in the tunnels before Lex revealed Wes' true fate- Lex had recruited Wes after he was injured and fooled him into volunteering for Project Ares under the guise of helping wounded soldiers like him. Instead Lex turned him into a super soldier using the genes of kryptonite-infected humans. Wes was the first successful prototype of Project Ares' true mission.

Lex used Wes to go through the underground tunnels to reach the main lab by going through all of the armed forces that stood in his way. Wes was sent to kill Senator Ed Burke, then Lois Lane for witnessing the murder. Due to his childhood connection to Lois, Wes was in conflict of the programmed control that was emmbedded in his head and fought to resist his orders to kill Lois but was unsuccessful. Clark had no choice but to use his extreme heat vision to kill him. Wes asked Lois to promise not to let this happen to anyone else.

Wes' body is currently in Lex's possession. Lex was undeterred at Wes' death and revealed that he has an unforeseen number of other soldiers waiting for similar treatment
